John P. Harris, MD

John P. Harris, MD, is a DeSoto Parish native who to this day calls Northwest Louisiana home. As a primary care doctor, he practices internal medicine and serves adults who have chronic illness at Louisiana Family Practice in Bossier City.
Dr. Harris received his medical degree from Louisiana State University School of Medicine in Shreveport. His internal medical residency training was at the same location. He is board certified by the American Board of Internal Medicine.
Away from the clinic, Dr. Harris enjoys listening to jazz music, reading and spending time with his family.
Dr. Harris is married and the father of two grown children and grandfather to eight grandchildren.

The best internist in the United States. He and his nurse are very knowledgeable and their work is technically sound. Bedside manner is the best you can ask for and the compassion they show make you feel at ease throughout your entire appointment. I highly recommend.

Dr. Harris and his nurse are THE BEST. They take their time to listen to you, calm any anxieties and are very informative. I never had to wait a long time to see them. The entire floor is their practice, which includes a lab and x-ray dept. I highly recommend this physician and will definitely return.
