"My philosophy in treating my patients is based on the modern definition of health, defining health as a state of complete physical, mental and social well-being and not merely the absence of disease or infirmity. My patients' health is not only about how they perform but also about how they think and how they connect others in our community." Dr. Salem says. He is willing to invest time and effort in achieving this goal with his patients through a long-term relationship based on trust and passion for serving the people of Shreveport and the Ark-La-Tex area. "Compassion, competency, and evidence-based medicine will always be the pillars of my practice. Seeing the positive difference we make for our patients is what motivates us to wake up every single morning." Dr. Salem says.

Dr. Salem is a very down-to-earth man who truly cares about your needs. He sat with me for as long as needed during my initial visit, asking me all kinds of questions. He didn’t seem preoccupied or try to rush the visit. I could tell he stays up to date on the latest in his field. He was straightforward but in a casual manner. He reassured me about symptoms that were normal, and quickly ordered referrals for issues that needed specialized testing. He even called the next day to share the results of my lab work himself! I’m used to doctors giving a nurse the job of calling, so that was a welcome surprise. All in all, he’s a great, thorough doctor with a wonderful bedside manner, and I highly recommend him.
I really like my previous doctor and was nervous about needing to change. But Dr. Salem actually took time to listen and address every issue I was concerned about. He also has a very nice staff. I left feeling positive about the change
Wow. He is a very detailed physician. Some physicians become callused after so many years, but he is not. I really appreciate his genuine concern for my 18 year old well being. Instantly, when he realized his BMI was too high he scheduled him with a nutritionist and provided him with a plan to get in shape. He will monitor him every 3 weeks. I am an educator and on tomorrow I plan to switch to Dr. Salem as my primary. Definitely one of a kind.
I was very pleased with everything. Dr Salem spent a lot of time with me & went over my medical history in detail. He explained everything to me & he was so professional & kind. I was very nervous about seeing a new physician but he made me feel comfortable.
He is very thorough and he listened to what I had to say and he was fast getting back in touch with me regarding my results.
